From art socials to an art show…
Art Socials are thoughtfully designed, community-centered art experiences that support engagement, connection, and creative wellbeing among residents. Each session gently guides participants through the creative process—from idea to finished piece—culminating in an optional resident art showcase that fosters pride, conversation, and a sense of accomplishment.
Creative Connections
Art Socials are structured to for residents at any ability level. By removing pressure and simplifying the act of creating, these experiences encourage participation, spark memory and storytelling, and help residents rediscover confidence in their own expression—making each session both enriching and deeply meaningful.
How It Works:
Participants can sign up for any art activity of their choice. Some mediums will overlap and some may integrate other art forms, such as sound and movement.
Mediums Include
-Drawing (graphite, ink, charcoal, oil pastels)
-Painting (acrylic & watercolor and oil for advanced classes)
-Write (story, poetry, screenplay)
-Mixed Media (combo of mediums, collage, paper/materials)
We will set up before the class and clean up at the end.
